Do remember you can disable any specific handling modification that you don't like, while keeping the rest.
Just navigate to "Grand Theft Auto V\mods\update\x64\dlcpacks\scc_overhaul\dlc.rpf\data\handling.meta" , and modify the modelname with DISABLED. Should not be loaded and not override the original handling.
Not failing to install for me. Using a mods folder?
Last two pictures refer to the original clipping issues this mod fixes. Head to this album to see how the suspension limits work now:
Hey people! Sorry, this script has died a little. After Hours definitely helped break it.
I am too busy to get back on this one anytime soon, but if what you were after was wheel smoke and dirt effects, you're better off using this: https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/handling-rally-and-effect-dust
Found about that mod a month ago, does a better job than mine in terms of dirt, and good enough for smoke.
I will update this script later down the line, but I don't know when. My plate is full right now.
@BlU3t00th Mods Actually true, but I assume the name comes from the fact that both the beta squaddie and this vehicle resemble an Hummer H1. Cabin and front specially.
I personally see the decision as a good way to make use of the name. Doubt the vehicle itself was intended to be a recreation of the beta Squaddie.
I do not understand the replace only option. If this vehicle is different enough from the vanilla savestra, it would greatly benefit from an add-on system.
@Derpy-Canadian Oh, they're customizable for sure. Download and check the .ini files, you can define how much drag (actually backwards force) is applied.
My values may likely be a little off yeah, but it felt right for the arcade feel of the game.
@Hullieverson PM me with the details, but I cannot guarantee I can help. No free time.
@SLY95ZER This script only processes a single entity (the parachute) and does only one thing (apply forces) continually, so I can't for the life of me understand why would you think it could drain FPS. I would understand if it enabled the same behavior for multiple vehicles simultaneously, but otherwise, its just not possible. It'd have to employ real shitty practices for it to tank FPS for a task so simple.
While I take no offense, I advise you against judging a script so casually before actually trying it out. You could miss very cool stuff with that attitude.
@SLY95ZER What makes you feel so? Legit question.
