To those who are getting unexpected behavior from this mod. Please read the entire text file that comes included with this mod. It not only explains the fine details of what this mod does and how it works, but it also explains why many things happen or dont happen. im considering making a newer version of this that uses some kind of ML or AI real neural network to train a few different models and see if i can get one of them to actually drive without just crashing
@Hycade@ponny2oo2@Armouredivision ... @others.... i have not been able to work on this mod because my computer was destroyed (long story), I want to say it should still work but its possible that the API has changed on the scripthookV .NET framework or even possibly on the GTA5 game itself.. if any of the changes happen to be involving a part of this particular mod, you should get error messages when the game first opens. As far as the INI file goes, if the AI settings are enabled, then the cars will copy the driving style that you use when the auto-drive mode is DISABLED. So, when its NOT on auto-drive (aka no waypoint on map) then you should drive as fast / crazy / fun as you feel is necessary to as many places around the map as possible.
Then once auto-drive is turned on (aka a waypoint is chosen on the map) whenever you are nearby a place where you have driven manually before and the mod was enabled, your car will duplicate your driving style (speed, followed nodes)
@azidtrip@TheDukeOfRockford So the code for the stealing car part is like: FIND_RANDOM_PERSON() and then MAKE_PERSON_CARJACK_NEAREST_VEHICLE() -- I had it set up to do other struff like shooting etc, but it just becomes a war zone way too quickly, because once one person starts shooting, everybody either runs or shoots and the end result is constantly seeing people running along the sideway to escape from some nearby person firing a weapon.
I was planning on making it so peds are replaced by mostly criminal type people, but i dont think it will work quite right and you'll see people disappearing and reappearing all over the place
The only other thing I can imagine adding to this mod would be randomly robbing people in the street, which i could add a little thing where people point guns at other people who put their hands up.. but it seems kind of lame in my opinion... too cliche..
Other ideas involved having the cars do sideshows, roaming gangs randomly robbing people or beating them up in the street, people robbing convenience stores or banks, and people being kidnapped, assaulted, or worse...
Ideally, I want to increase the rate that the little random events happen like someone being robbed, or bike being stolen etc, but it isn't very easy to figure out how exactly the API works with regards to increasing that particular part of the game since there is no direct way of doing that as far as I know...
I will make a quick update to try and address some of the issues mentioned and try to add a couple new features too.
@OldTimersGaming You do not need jobsV to run the script. Try holding down the Right D-Pad button (or E button on keyboard) and just walking around... it will eventually trigger the game... pay attention to the top left of the screen as it will appear and disappear quickly and you have to hold the (context) button / key for at least 1 second
Please read the Readme file before requesting features as many features are already planned for this mod
When reporting bugs in the script, please try to give as many details as possible about the bug and what steps someone would need to take in order to reproduce the bug. Videos / Screenshots are even better.
Check that nobody else has already reported bug in the comments first please.
@weirdsciencex Can you tell me what version of the mod you are using, and paste your autonomousdriving.ini file's contents into a comment here so that I can try to reproduce the bug. Providing a link to a video of your game going through all the steps would also be very helpful
@Wyvernken The manual override options were removed in v2.0 due to conflicts with too many other mods -- if you want to drive with the override features, use the 1.5.x versions

@razor0109 Sure, your smartcars.data file is your training data. feel free to post it up online and share the link.
@Stryfaar The game gets trained by the player whenever the player is driving with auto-drive _not_ enabled.
