Total Real Driving Simulator Mod (Realistic handling for all vehicles, damage mod included!)
This mod makes much more realistic the driving physics and damage to all vehicles in the game, including motorcycles, bikes and planes.
Initially I created this mod for personal use only, but subsequently I decided to publish it and share it with other people who like me prefer a more simulative game.
Every car now has its own characteristics that make it unique. You can feel the weight of the car when cornering, the braking times are much longer (with the possibility to lock the tires), lower and realistic grip, and finally is possible the drifting!
Revised also the damage, now much more evident.
I made changes to the traction, braking, suspensions, the weight of each vehicle including bicycles! I also removed that annoying false effect of turbulence in all planes and helicopters.
I strongly suggest you to play in this mod with a steering wheel, to have an even more addictive experience!
You will find a small tutorial on how to use it in the video informations.
READ CAREFULLY
Be careful to install in the right location the various "handling" files that you will find in the archive.
In order to change each vehicle on GTA V I had to work on several "handling" files in the directory of the game, so you must install all them to get the changes in all vehicles.
Installation Guide:
1- Download the mod and extract the contents of the archive in the desktop or where you want.
2 - To install the mod you need the program OpenIV 2.6, if you have not it, download and install. Read the instructions for the use. It will allow you to install in the right locations each "handling" file.
3 - Now open the folder that you extracted in the desktop, inside it you will find two subfolders:
main handling
dlcpacks handling
In each folder you will find the "handling" file and a document file that indicates the installation location of the corresponding file.
In the "main handling" there are the most vehicles of GTA 5, while in "dlcpacks handling" you will find the remaining.
4 - Open OpenIV (I suggest you to make a backup of the original files that you have to replace), and replace the original "Handling.meta" files with the modified files.
5 - Enjoy!

Edit: I take back my previous statement. I kept trying to drive like I was using the default handling settings, after some getting used to the handling does feel a lot nicer, however the road still feels like ice which makes cars near impossible to control with a keyboard.
I think its not a mod problem this by far the best handling mod tested yur great man ...the problem with the road i think is during the parts of the hills the steep slope of the roads makes nearly impossible a rwd with lots of power able to climb it from a full stop and the car start going in reverse even... not problem in the math of the physics of the cars or this mod but just how bad or exaggerated the steep slopes are in the game...if you can change the vaues or tell us where this value is located in order the steep of the road becomes not hard to climb from zero that will be perfect for us.
@baronesbc I'm having a hard time getting this mod to work with the new update. I'm replacing the handling files but nothing changes.
@Cyron43 you are 100% right, this ruins the handling and is not realistic at all, every single car I tried keeps drifting in position waaaay to long and takes forever to star moving properly and stop burinng rubber
The best driving mod by far!
lots of lots issues are there
0~60mph 12sec and wheel spin... what the hell happend on tires? is it covered by oil or somthing?
I just half throttle and then wheel spinning!
but thats ok i have G27 so i can handle it hardly
worst of all is brake, if running on 180km/h, you will just crash every time cause of useless brake traction
Full Brake stopping 180km/h~0km/h over a 10sec? hopless
Thank you)
baronesbc, your mode is excellent! I like it very much. The only complaint refers to automated brakes... Is it possible to deactivate it?
how can i undo this?
(havent done a backup of the original data ..)
It would be nice if u speed up the vehicles too, cuz is kind of boring drive like 60mph in a supersport. Thx
suspension is hard
look at my test, this mod is a must have when you handle it : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oYR1Z_ce2O4&feature=youtu.be
Please update this mod...
Hay can you make a video on how to install
Dear you seem never to AUTO or went? If you do not know when you go to the mountains AUTO should not hinder, but rather be dispersed! 0% realism !!!! The very least try once, and then do fashion !!!
I love this mod! Reminds me so much of gta IV. Im curious though, some cars still seem to stick to the road like glue. like going over a curb for example, it makes the car instantly jump slightly into the right angle which looks ridiculous and really is annoying. is there any way that can be remedied?
i found an example of my previous comment.
http://www.gtainside.com/en/gta5/mods/79284-realistic-suspension-for-all-cars-3-3-1/
if you could implement those suspension configs into your mod that would be pretty sweet or instruct me how to do so :)
Does it change speed or your car to a real speed?
I love what you did to the motorcycle handling! The Ruffian has the traction and power just like my Kawasaki Ninja 500R. Not a streetfighter tho
Awasome phsics, good job, It looks like a mafia 2 game.
