This mod conflicts with any other mod changing the following files (yet easy to make it compatible with basically every mod):
-pickups.meta
DO NOT USE THIS MOD ONLINE! ALWAYS BACKUP AND USE THE 'MOD' FOLDER WHEN POSSIBLE!
Description:
This mod changes the way how pickups are handled in GTA V. To pick-up weapons you need to press the USE key (Default 'E' on PC). The game shows you when an item is available to pick-up. Health and armor are automatically picked up when walking past by them. Ammo from dropped weapons is automatically taken out from them, as long as you already own the type of weapon you walk past by.
No more unwanted weapons in your pockets, just the things you picked up.
Software needed:
-Open IV
Installation:
-Run Open IV and use the 'Open Package Installer' option.
Made and tested in GTA V v1.573.1
Known bugs:
-No bugs discovered yet

@Zserbo Ah, okay. Thats what I thought but it was giving me errors. I ended up just fixing it manually though.
Is it possible to make a mod that restricts the player to one weapon per category like in previous games? That's what I prefer. Forces you to think about what you carry
@FistoGames Sure, but I don't know how to. Maybe some fine-tuning with weapon slots, but it might interfere with the gameplay and I don't want to break the game. Might look into it.
@Zserbo that'd be pretty awesome. Would totally make the game for me!
Maybe it could be disabled during missions? Not sure. But if you need a specific weapon for a mission you could simply just trade in your current weapon in that category

Amazing!
Just out of curiosity - I know I talked about asking if it could be possible to have animations to allow the player to pick up the gun, and that it wouldn't be possible without scripting, but in terms of making Machinimas - it would be fucking awesome.
Is it at all possible? Script or no script? (And what's wrong with using scripts... I'm asking as a complete noob.)
@Zserbo i don't know why but after installed it, it still picking up weapon on the ground without the attachment, how to uninstall this mod ?
