OIV Package Installer is a lightweight alternative to the OpenIV Package Installer. Built on the CodeWalker core, it offers a clean, reliable interface for installing OIV modification packages for Grand Theft Auto V Legacy and Enhanced.

Requirements:
To ensure your mods folder works correctly, you must have the appropriate mods loader installed:
- GTA V Legacy: Requires OpenIV.asi
- GTA V Enhanced: Requires OpenRPF.asi
Important Note:
Please ensure the mod you are installing is compatible with your game version. Legacy mods cannot be installed on GTA V Enhanced, and Enhanced mods cannot be installed on GTA V Legacy. Installing incompatible mods will cause your game to crash.
How to Use:
1. Launch CodeWalker.OIVInstaller.exe.
2. Select your .oiv package file.
3. Select your GTA V game folder.
4. Click Install and wait for the process to complete.
For Mod Creators:
The installer validates the <gameversion> tag in assembly.xml to ensure your mod is installed on the correct game version.
To enforce game version validation, add the <gameversion> tag to your assembly.xml file inside the <package> element.
Example for Enhanced Edition:

Wonderful, literally just reinstalled Enhanced again and started modding it yesterday. What perfect timing.
OpenIV may be dead, but people like you are keeping it alive!
@meimeiriver not gonna stop tho, more stuff is coming, like possibility to uninstall your mods as well
@safari4831 Very glad you're on it. :) This will really help ppl transition to Enhanced (which is why I Featured it). The current OpenIV route, with a faux openiv.asi and regedit paths switcheroo, is way too convoluted.

I think we should add drag-and-drop functionality instead of just browsing the selection window. Then I had an idea, which is a feature I've always wanted to do: add a feature that automatically extracts the files that are overwritten by the backup when installing OIV, and then makes it an uninstall OIV, so that you don't have to worry about the original files being overwritten by the installation and cannot be recovered

@safari4831 i was also amaking a instaler like this which evne had a option where you install depepndecies form the internet and install in game folder but it was pointless as it didnt have rpf editing anywyas good work

In all likelihood, never.
@The_Stranger for now the app checks for openiv.asi or openrpf.asi inside game folder only, maybe automatic dependencies install will be added in future
