Dynamic Vehicle First Person
A custom first person vehicle camera script, with inertia effects, dynamic horizon lock, depth of field effects and a lot of customizability.
Originally made within Manual Transmission as a fix for locked camera with synced wheel animations, but it got too big, so I extracted it into a standalone script.
Settings and demo lap on the Nordschleife in Wanted188's GTR R32
Note: The steering animations and the player body not jerking forwards on braking is part of Manual Transmission's steering improvements.
Requirements
Installation
Copy DynamicVehicleFirstPerson.asi and the DynamicVehicleFirstPerson folder to the GTA V folder.
Alternatively, you may put the DynamicVehicleFirstPerson folder in %localappdata%\ikt\ if the GTA V folder is not writeable for the script.
Usage
Use cheat 'dfpv' (without quotes) to open the menu. (Open the cheat console using the tilde (~) key, which is left to your 1 key, under the Escape key)
All camera settings are adjusted within the menu, with descriptions for what each option does.
The first person camera automatically activates when the camera is switched to first person view.
Refer to the included README.txt for more information, and how to configure the various configuration and camera possibilities.

man can you restore https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/manual-reload this mod..??
@ikt Yes I did I can imagine. Its like when hop on a car it doesnt take effect, when I restart the it works if im already in the car but then when I change for another car it doesnt work anymore (even with a saved preset) everything BUT the inertia works
@wvssuptokyo
Found the issue, thanks for reporting :)
@ikt Oh wow nice. thanks alot !! your mods bring so much great detail to the gameplay and as a car guy its a must fr! thank you for the fix and work bro
@ikt, So far this is what 'R' should have put in the game a long time ago. Works well in cars, not so much in trucks I've seen. Haven't tried it on a motorcycle or boat yet. My only beef is with how fast the head snaps back to center and how you have to hold it 'just right' to look at a passenger beside you. I tried working the controls to slow it down, but didn't see any change. Still a very good addition to the game!
@wvssuptokyo
Enjoy! :)
@iammistahwolf
The new looking modes should be more similar to GTA V itself, and you can increase the timeout for when it looks forward again.
Thank you for that update about inertia not working when you switch cars. Biggest and only issue I've had with this mod, now it's perfect!
@ikt nvm, new bug. When first loading into a car it is at a default vanilla camera angle until I go in and type 'dpfv' THEN the right camera angle loads. Sometimes if I spawn a car it works, but more often than not I have to type the code in.
Please add a button to switch between the camera presets please
@JojiTX
Maybe now it's fixed :^)
@skipper00123
Reasonable request, not something I had in mind for the current time being.
@ikt Is there anyway to still enable the use of dismemberment asi? There's this new issue where whenever I brake I now see the player's neck as I don't normally attach the camera to the driver (the moving when tapping the brakes gets too irritating).
@JojiTX
The character always jolts forwards, the old dismemberment method didn't change that? iirc the same "thing" is deleted.
Manual Transmission can be used to force the steering animation and prevent the jolting back and forth.
@JojiTX I use it with Manual transmission mod and I have no issue with the player's head. Also I don't think this mod is intended to be used without Manual transmission mod
@ikt thanks for considering that. I'm looking forward to it
@ikt oh never knew that about those settings with the manual transmission mod.
@skipper00123 yes I use the mod, I didnt know there was a setting to disable the jolting back and forth.
New updates are fantastic, it feels much more fleshed out.
Would it be a pain in the ass to add a 'feature' that lets you toggle the new native head hiding method? I use this plugin in a FiveM server and when I'm in first person, I believe that I'm headless to other players when in first person. 😱
is there anyway to have the 360 steering but still use gta FPV?
For people using this in FiveM, it appears that the head hiding method is client-side, so other people will continue to see you as a normal person.
Can I request a personal mode from you? I'm willing to pay for it.
Is there a way to save camera settings for each car?
